Abstract

Our recent revision of the range of L. dissecta is confirmed. The phytogeographic changes were obtained as a result of our research in the laboratory marine aquarium containing soil and water from Avacha Gulf (southeastern Kamchatka), where L. dissecta was found as a new species for the region. Soon it was discovered in natural conditions in the water area of Eastern Kamchatka. This fact significantly expanded geographic area of the species, which was previously considered to be disjunctive and exclusively insular. We recognized the species range as continuous and not restricted only to the islands, and the presence of L. dissecta specimens from Alaska (USA) in our material allowed us to consider it as a boreal interzonal pan-pacific species.
