Abstract

This 2016 year the 80th anniversary since the birth of the outstanding hydrobiologist, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor, corresponding member of NAS of Ukraine Victor Evgenyevich Zaika is celebrated. His works in the fields of parasitology, theory of animal growth, biological productivity, energy balance of aquatic organisms, structure and functioning of marine ecosystems have had a great impact on the further development of marine hydrobiology.
