Abstract

Experimental results of the study of accumulation cultures of Arthrospira (S.) platensis under conditions of critical intensity of swirling flows at different size of the working layer (optical path) are presented. It is shown that at increasing the working layer by 3 times and increasing the intensity of vortex mixing by 10 times, the productivity of the culture decreased by 2 times. It was noted that for photosynthesizing microorganisms the leading factor determining the productivity of the culture is the spatial irradiation inside the cell suspension (working layer), but taking into account the intensity of stirring of the suspension. The conditions of cultivation of photosynthesizing cells under which the working layer differs by a factor of two, but the productivity of the culture remains unchanged, are experimentally demonstrated.
