бентическая экология с особым акцентом на воздействие природных факторов и антропогенное давление на комплексы бентосных макробеспозвоночных в прибрежных морских и лагунных системах;

разработка показателей экологического статуса применительно к директивам Европейского союза;

исследования пищевых сетей (анализ δ¹³C, δ¹⁵N), в том числе влияния инвазивных видов на бенто-пелагическую связь;

биогеохимические процессы, в том числе влияние биотурбации макробеспозвоночных бентоса на потоки кислорода и питательных веществ;

биоразнообразие и экосистемные услуги.
